Gothic names and nicknames

So we meet again, little snarklings. As promised, this week, I’ll be diving into Goth names and nicknames.

Most of my little snarklings out there detest their given names with a fiery passion. Rest assured, I hate my “slave” name too- it’s unoriginal and isn’t dark enough for my own liking. Who the hell names their only daughter Rachel Elizabeth? My parents, that’s who. My mama was high on epherdul and my daddy was hoping that he would have to have his hand amputated…

(SHUDDERS IN HORROR)

(In a future post, I shall go over the ups and downs of having your name changed legally, for those of you out there who dispise your birth names with all of hell’s flames.)

In the meantime, you can play around with this lovely little name list I have on display for your convience.

A few things to keep in mind:

Play around with the spelling! I took my name from the ever popular Victorian baby girl name (Victoria) and my favorite flower (Rose) and I kinda mixed up the spelling a bit to where it is now, Viktorya Roze. But be careful- keep your name easy enough to read phonically!

If you’re like me and like to have either two first names or your first name AND middle name included, please, for the love of all things dark and creepy, don’t make it overly elaborate. Unless you’re a porn star or really famous. Then all bets are off and you can go crazy then.

My rules for creating a unique Gothic name are:

1)      Use two common names.
2)       Use an unusual name and a common name.
3)      Just play around with different combination of names.

And now, have fun in discovering your spirit name.
